Black Cat Appreciation Day

August 17th is Black Cat Appreciation Day...a day set aside to raise awareness about the plight of black cats in shelters, the felines that are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized. People need to set aside their misconceptions and realize that these kitties are just as special as any other, and need our love and protection most of all!
